EightCAP, Inc. operates many successful programs:

Early Childhood Programs

Head Start and...Your Child...Your Family...Your Community.

Studies have shown that children in need often start school without the skills and confidence to keep up with their classmates. They fall behind and as the years pass their troubles are compounded, they do poorly or drop out of school entirely. EightCAP's goal is to close the gap, ensuring that children begin school as confident, healthy, and prepared students, increasing their chances of academic success.

Community Services

We the working body of Community Services see our role as threefold in nature; as advocate for the poor, including the individual and the collective; as teacher to a community that must concern itself with the scope, causes, and problems of poverty; and as a person of empowerment that leads, guides, and supports the poor in their struggle to be fully self sufficient. Each of our actions, efforts, and programs are directed to that end.

Foster Grandparents - Senior Companions Program

Foster Grandparent Program exists for the dual purpose of engaging persons 55 and older, particularly those with limited incomes, in volunteer service to meet critical community needs; and to provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of the volunteers; and to provide supportive, person to person services to children with exceptional or special needs.

EightCAP’s Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) is a federally funded, low-income residential energy conservation program. The program provides free home energy conservation services to low-income Michigan homeowners and renters. These services reduce energy use and lower utility bills, making homes more comfortable and utilities more affordable, while helping families become more self-sufficient..
